staff1Writer-Director-Producer: Atsushi Ogata

Atsushi Ogata has worked in Holland, Germany, Japan, and the US as a film director, script-writer, video artist, and actor. He is a graduate of Harvard College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Center for Advanced Visual Studies. Eternally Yours, Ogata’s latest short film, was selected for the prestigious New Directors/New Films Festival 2007 in New York at the MoMA & the Lincoln Center. It won Film Awards at the Bangkok, Moondance, and Boston International Film Festival, and has been screened at numerous international festivals in Berlin, Sao Paolo, Los Angeles and others. Cast me if you can is his feature film debut.

Co-Writer & Casting Director: Akane Shiratori

A board Member of the Japan Screenwriters Association, Akane Shiratori has been active as a script-writer and script-supervisor for more than 50 years in the Japanese film industry. She has worked with legendary directors such as Kaneto Shindo, Tatsumi Kumashiro, and Shohei Imamura at the Nikkatsu Studio. Her credits include Kakushizuma, Watashino Sex-Hakusho, Enrai, Kizuna, Kagi, and Ori Ume. In 2004, she was recognized with a lifetime achievement award for “distinguished services to the film world” by the Japanese Ministry of Culture.

Producer: Eric Nyari

Eric Nyari has been Representative for Asia based in Tokyo for Cineric, Inc. since March 2008.  He came to Japan through JET programme. Eric holds a bachelors degree in economics from Northwestern University and studied Japanese at Keio University.

Producer: Eriko Miyagawa

Fluent in Chinese, English and Japanese, Eriko Miyagawa has worked in production, casting, and art direction on numerous Hollywood films including Kill Bill: Vol. 1, Lost in Translation, Babel and The Kite Runner.

Director of Photography: Yuichi Nagata JSC

A board member of the Japanese Society for Cinematographers, Yuichi Nagata has been Director of Photography on more than 110 feature films, including Water Boys, Ganbatte ikimasshoi, Summer Nude and The Prisoner, as well as documentaries, TV programs such as Hitmaker: Aku Yu Monogatari, and the web cinema hit Tantei 5. He was Director of Photography on Atsushi Ogata’s previous film, Eternally Yours.

Co-producer: Yohichi Sakurai

After studying under Takeo Kimura, Yohich Sakurai has worked as Art Director for dozens of feature films over 20 years including Tokyo Girl, Tokyo Boy, Yomigaeri, Last Words, and Summer Nude, as well as Line Producer for such films as Hotaru no Haka and Tennshi no Piano. He was the Art Director for Atsushi Ogata’s previous film, Eternally Yours.

Hair & Make-Up Artist: Nana Kozakai

Nana Kozakai has been the Key Hair & Make-up Artist for numerous award-winning feature films over 30 years including Yume no mani mani, Hotaru no haka, Kamiya Etsuko no Seishun, Chichi to Kuraseba, Who’s Camus Anyway?, Suri and Utsukushii Natsu Kirishima. A graduate of Yamano Beauty College, she was the Hair & Make-Up Artist for Atsushi Ogata’s previous film, Eternally Yours.

Music: Jessica de Rooij

One of the youngest female composers in the international film industry, Jessica de Rooij is an award winning artist who has written scores for numerous feature films including Darfur, Rampage, Far Cry, Blood Rayne II, Postal, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale and many more. In 2008, Jessica won the Best Music Award at the Estepona Fantastic and Horror Film Festival.  Jessica has a Master of Arts in Composition in Context (Open University of England), and a Bachelor of Music with Honors (Utrecht School of Art, Media & Technology, The Netherlands).
